Next in our "How To" Series, we will volunteer with 7th - 12th grade students from EAGLE Scholars to help them learn how to network and develop positive professional relationships.

Obtaining internships, learning about scholarships, and getting a job these days requires the coveted skill of having networks and networking. While we want to make sure our EAGLE Scholars are equipped to get to and through college, we also want to make sure they are connected to people like yourself! This day is about teaching them how to network, giving them the opportunity to practice, and providing an opportunity for them to potentially make connections with business professionals who could help them get their foot in the door through internships, scholarships, mentorships, or other possibilities.

In the morning, the Scholars will be participating in a two-hour workshop that will help them them learn and practice what it means to network. At 12:30, while the Scholars are still eating lunch, Business Professionals will meet and be given an overview and the expectations for the afternoon networking event.

Business Professionals' Agenda:

12:15-12:30pm Pick up nametag
12:30-1:00pm Overview and Expectations
1:00-2:00pm Networking with the Scholars
2:00pm Dismissal

We hope you can join us to help equip our Scholars with this very important skill that we know will benefit them as they go throughout high school, college, and life.

Please dress professionally and be prepared to hand out lots of business cards. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
